about

Antony Holborne was a well known English composer of the late 16th century. He was a buddy of John Dowland. Near the end of his life he published a collection of 65 tunes that called, Pavans, Galliards, Almains and other short Aeirs, both grave and light, in five parts, for Viols, Violins, or other Musicall Winde Instruments. This is one of the grave ones. What a great title!
